Lies, lies, lies. Nicole Richie is responding to accusations that she's been smoking while pregnant. She'll talk to you in a second just as soon as she gathers all these Winston Lights pack stamps together so she can send them off and win a Nascar jacket.

"It's really very sad and hurtful that journalists don't believe in checking facts before writing false and unsubstantiated stories about my health and my pregnancy," Nicole wrote in a statement released to Access Hollywood. "The healthy birth of my child is my number one priority."

Cindy Adams was the buzzard who initially reported the story for the Post. Access Hollywood is claiming they investigated and Nicole supposedly hasn't been in NYC since September. Seeing as she asked me for a light on the subway two weeks ago, I think that's a likely story! She told me she was smoking for two!
