Latest Gossip From Around the World
Ashton Kutcher got off work on the set of Spread in LA and jumped across the country to spend some time with Demi in NYC yesterday. Their big activity for the day? Checking out the exciting Starbucks makeover. We know that Demi can't live without her favorite drink, but we wonder if they checked out the new and improved regular coffee. Judging from the huge grin on Ashton's face, it looks like a little change hasn't cost the coffee empire two of its loyal supporters.
Ashton Kutcher narrowly missed getting run down by a truck on the set of Spread in LA on Friday. Since he plays a total womanizer in the film, we wouldn't be surprised if the person behind the wheel was one of the ladies burned by his character. Luckily it looks like Ashton got away uninjured — even if he plays a jerk in the movie, we'd hate to see anything happen to that good-looking face.
I swear, Ashton Kutcher must be taking anti-aging tips from his wife, because he just turned 30 and was looking younger than ever on the set of his new movie Spread in LA yesterday. Not that any of it is a bad thing — he's bringing back the manjoyment. Ashton said that this movie was his way to say sorry to all the girls he treated poorly when he was younger, but I'm thinking that some of those broken hearted ladies will still be pining after seeing how good he's looking these days.

For all the punking he does, it seems fair that Punk’d creator and star Ashton Kutcher should be on the receiving end a few times. And luckily, he has. Sir John Hargrave, founder of comedy website Zug.com, has made it clear that he finds Kutcher and Punk’d to be incredibly stupid – it almost seems to anger him. So Hargrave (who legally changed his first name to Sir when Queen Elizabeth refused to knight him) went to some pretty extreme measures to punk Kutcher. No word on whether Ashton found it amusing.
Sir John Hargrave hated Ashton Kutcher’s MTV show “Punk’d” so much, calling it “Candid Camera for morons,” he decided to “punk” the celebrity practical joker himself. Hargrave did it through an elaborate scheme that included legally changing his own name to Ashton Kutcher and creating a website claiming to have recordings from Kutcher’s personal voicemail, including a message from a trash-talking “mistress” and an angry tirade from Bruce Willis, ex-husband of Kutcher’s wife, actress Demi Moore.
Despite claims from Kutcher’s publicist that the site was a fake, media worldwide picked up the story, exposing a system so hungry for gossip that the truth hardly matters. “Once you get one mention of something it’s much easier for other journalists to step on board and accept that as truth, even though it’s not,” says Hargrave. In the end, the real Ashton Kutcher had to admit he had been “punk’d.”

It seems fair. You might say the guy went too far, but from the few times I caught Punk’d, you could easily say that about Ashton Kutcher as well. And let’s be honest – you shouldn’t dish out what you can’t take. Kutcher hasn’t responded to the prank, though something tells me he probably won’t. He’ll either have to say it was funny or he really got taken or something that shows he’s a good sport – or he’ll look like a whining hypocrite. Considering Kutcher’s newest show is all about turning the tables on the media, it seems more than fair that he should have the tables turned on him.
