The stars at last night's MTV Movie Awards enjoyed the action on the main stage and then moved on into the press room to pose with their newly-acquired golden popcorn. After steaming up the red carpet with all the other fashionable female attendees, Katy Perry celebrated alongside Eclipse's Nikki Reed and Elizabeth Reaser. Jackson Rathbone, meanwhile, got up close and personal with his statue. Tom Cruise took off his Len Grossman costume to smile for the cameras with his Knight and Day costar Cameron Diaz. The MTV Movie Awards red carpet was sunny and eye-catching and inside the action only got better. Sandra Bullock may have stepped out a day early with her Guys Choice appearance, but she saved the big guns for last night. She brought tears to our eyes and was greeted with a standing ovation as Bradley Cooper, Betty White, and Scarlett Johansson presented her with the Generation Award. Sandra also assured us that she's doing just fine with her famous sense of humor - watch video of her acceptance speech here. She even kissed Scarlett, giving Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart competition for favorite famous lip lock of the evening. New Moon cleaned up during the show, taking home five of the 13 awards - check out the full list of winners. Aziz Ansari skillfully hosted his way through the night, popping up in some funny spoofs that can be added to the pantheon of past skits and of course Tom Cruise played producer of the whole event as Les Grossman. His opening and of course that over-the-top dance with J Lo was amazing.

Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg performed the catchy Summer anthem, "California Gurls" while Christina Aguilera took on a medley from her album Bionic. Amanda Seyfried made cute comments when she got her golden popcorn for Jennifer's Body and Zac Efron cracked a few jokes of his own. He also had a "kiss cam" moment with Vanessa Hudgens, who stepped out on stage with Jessica Alba. Knight and Day costars Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz presented the Best Movie to the Twilight crew, and a few of Peter Facinelli's many f-bombs slipped past the censors for the live feed. Star Magazine reports this week that Alex Rodriguez’s ex wife has forbidden him from bringing Cameron Diaz or any other girlfriends around their two children, Natasha, 5, and Ella, 2. That makes sense considering that she’s had to deal with her kids getting attached to their daddy’s last two girlfriends, Madonna and Kate Hudson, along with any other random professionals and actresses he happened to be banging.

Alex Rodriguez’s ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis, is laying down the law when it comes to his new girlfriend, Cameron Diaz! She’s insisting that the actress, 37, stay away from… her daughters with the New York Yankees slugger, 34… “Cynthia is sick of having all these women hanging around the girls. She doesn’t think it’s healthy,” says a source. “She says she’s sure Cameron is a decent person, but enough is enough.” The insider admits that Cynthia, who filed for divorce in 2008, doesn’t like that he has so quickly gained a reputation as a Hollywood playboy. “She has her reasons for being mad at him, but the ‘no girlfriend’ rule is really to protect the girls… If he gets married again, that’s one thing. Otherwise, no way.”

Alex didn’t just (allegedly) cheat on Cynthia with Madonna, a relationship her lawyer called “an affair of the heart” in a statement around the time of their divorce, he also (allegedly) cheated on her with hookers. She has plenty of reasons to be mad at the guy and not to trust him. It’s not vindictive not to want other women around her kids, though, it’s just protective and realistic. After all, how long are these relationships going to last? I’m surprised Cameron Diaz and A-Rod are still even together.

While I was looking up some old stories to get background for this, I came upon this gem that Cynthia Rodriguez blew $100k on a shopping spree in Paris right before filing for divorce. She had just had his second daughter 11 weeks prior and flew herself and two friends first class to the French capital where they had spa treatments and ate at the best restaurants. Now that’s a little vindictive, but can you blame her? It’s not like her ex husband doesn’t have the money.

Cameron Diaz had her hands full yesterday while out shopping in NYC. She's back on the East Coast after her duties promoting Shrek Forever After, which was number one at the holiday weekend box office ahead of both Prince of Persia and Sex and the City 2. Her visit to the Big Apple means Cameron has a chance to spend more time with Alex Rodriguez, but she'll be back in LA by Sunday to attend the MTV Movie Awards. Cameron will reunite with her Knight and Day costar Tom Cruise, who's an integral part of the show's promotional campaign as his Tropic Thunder character Les Grossman.
