Blake Lively is on the cover of the upcoming issue of Interview. She opened up for a chat with her The Town director Ben Affleck, and the pair spoke about working together and even his lack of fashion sense. Blake is getting into promotional mode for their big-screen project, but lately she's been all about PDA with her boyfriend, Penn Badgley, and shooting the new season of Gossip Girl. Ben hasn't been shy about his fondness for Blake, and the duo looked like they hit it off while filming together last year. Blake said:

  • On Ben's lack of being fashionable: "Well, people like you make me fashionable, because if there is no wrong there can be no right."
  • On having a sex scene on the first day: "The sex scene was really awkward. It was my first day, so thank you for that."
  • On whose career she'd want: "People always ask me that and I always answer with men. Which is not to say that there aren't incredible women in this business, but I feel like men are still given much better opportunities. I feel like there are so many people I admire for so many reasons that I can't look at one person's life and say, 'I want that life.' I want to make my own history."

  • On doing the first Traveling Pants movie: "It was an amazing first job. And all I had to do was miss finals at school? So I thought, 'Well, this is great. I'll just try out acting and see if I like it.' I missed my finals, I was away shooting for the summer, and I came back home. But rather than pursue acting, I decided that I wanted to finish out my senior year. I thought, I'll finish high school and then I'll hold off going to college for a year and just try it. But here I am still acting. Things worked out all right."
  • On her family: "I have a big, close, loving family, and they're all from the South, but because so many of them are actors, everyone was very normal about it. It was just like any job to them. They always came home and talked about it around the dinner table the way any family talks about work, but it wasn't anything special. I think for a lot of people, acting becomes a lifestyle, especially when you're living in Los Angeles. But despite the fact that my family moved to L.A. and I grew up there - in Burbank, which is like a small town inside of a big city - I don't feel like I ever had any sort of Hollywood upbringing. So I don't remember there ever being a downside. There were only upsides. I got to travel and visit my family on set. I got to eat craft service. I actually think that was the reason I got into acting: the free food. I literally remember on my first job being like, 'Yes! I get to have craft service every day!'"
  • On being bold while shooting The Town: "Well, I had to be bold with you! I had to be brave because this role was terrifying. But it was all smoke and mirrors because I read the script and I didn't know how I couldn't do it. I loved this character so much. I was a little selfish in wanting to do it because I also thought, Well, maybe I'm not the best person for this, but I really want it. I didn't know how to do a good Boston accent, so I went and got a dialect coach, and she was really good, but it was a real proper accent I was learning, and my character is from the projects. But she'd lived in Charlestown her whole life, and the kind of accent she would have had is very different from an across-the-board Boston accent."

As the TCA rages on in LA, we had the opportunity to catch up with Ed Westwick at the cocktail party celebrating CBS, The CW, and Showtime. The actor better known as Chuck Bass had plenty to say about his new Gossip Girl costars, filming in Paris, and why Chuck is about to lose his signature swagger. He even had a few kind words to say about Kristen Stewart and the role he'd like to play opposite Robert Pattinson. Check it out.

PopSugar: When you read the season finale script and saw that you were going to get shot . . . were you nervous?
Ed Westwick: I thought it was a great way to finish the show. Everything kind of spiraled out of control, Chuck's world was falling apart, and it can't get any worse. It was kind of like I got stabbed in the back. But it picks up, new season, I'm in Paris.

PS: How was that?
Ed: Wicked. We had a really good time shooting there. The scenes are cool, it's in the first two episodes. And then he's trying to be a new man, Chuck Bass. He's trying to reinvent himself.

PS: Is there a fun new dynamic with the new characters on the show?
Ed: Yeah, to a degree. Chuck Bass is so alienated himself, he's kind of got to rebuild bridges all over the place. But it was cool. There's a lovely new actress involved, actually, a couple of lovely new actresses involved. It will be great. I'm looking forward to seeing how people actually perceive it.

PS: One of my favorite things about the show is all the Chuck Bass one-liners. Do you get to ad lib that at all?
Ed: No, no. I'm not witty enough for that. They're really fun, aren't they? The character is still a lot of fun to play, and he's really interesting to me after everything that's happened at the end of the third season. It's gonna be a cool direction to go in.

PS: Is it fun getting to wear all the Chuck Bass suits?
Ed: It's like wearing a uniform to work. It's cool, but it's a little uncomfortable in summertime heat.

PS: In a recent interview, you mentioned that Kristen Stewart isn't your type.
Ed: I don't know why that all went crazy! I'd love to clear that up. I think she's a great, great, great girl, who's gorgeous and talented, and I don't know what the hell happened. Clear that up for me, please!

To see what else he had to say about Robert Pattinson and what's to come for Chuck Bass, just read more.

PS: Maybe you need to get her on Gossip Girl.
Ed: She's not going to do that.

PS: Gossip Girl's hot! We all love it.
Ed: Maybe if I had vampire teeth.

PS: Maybe you need to play a vampire with that other hot Brit.
Ed: We should play brothers. Me and Rob Pattinson should play brothers.

PS: In Breaking Dawn?
Ed: Is that the next one? I'll put the call in. Let's do it.

PS: You mentioned we're going to see another side of Chuck Bass next season; what's going to be different about him?
Ed: As I said, after what happened at the end of the last season, his whole world kind of fell apart so you knew it. There's a lot of self-blame there. When that happens, you're going to look at yourself, and try to build a new person.

PS: Is he going to lose some of his Chuck Bass swagger?
Ed: I think maybe he does. Maybe he does a little. Maybe it's the swagger that brought him the trouble, but who knows? Maybe it'll come back, you know?

PS: Do you think it's only a matter of time before Chuck and Blair get back together?
Ed: I don't know. They're two characters who seem like they're cut from the same cloth. Maybe it's inevitable. Star-crossed lovers.

PS: Do you like getting to work with new love interests for Chuck?
Ed: Yeah, Clemence [Poesy] is fantastic to work with right now. She's amazing. So it's an absolute privilege to work with someone like that every day. Yeah, it's great right now.

Xavier Samuel is the new guy in the Twilight saga, and he's bringing enough sexy to compete with his big-name costars as one of Interview magazine's hot Summer leading men in its June/July issue. The 26-year-old Australian plays newborn vampire Riley in the film and carries some of the movie's most intense scenes including the big battle with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and his onscreen love Bryce Dallas Howard. He sat down with Bryce for a charming and candid conversation answering her questions about fans, fame, and playing a villain in the latest installment of the saga; here's more:

  • On handling fame and fans: "It's kind of like being struck by lightning in a way, because it all seems so improbable. I mean, it's kind of bizarre, isn't it? Having that kind of attention . . . I'm not under the microscope in the same fashion that a lot of the other cast members are, so I think I can slide under the radar a little bit more, but getting any attention at all is completely new for me."
  • On what he plans to do next: "Well, it's about finding the time to be able to do some theater, which I'd really love to do. Right now I'm just happy to work with people I admire and who will help me grow as an actor. But there are a lot of great emerging Australian playwrights who would be great to work with. I also think it'd be great to do another Australian film soon. I'd really like to continue to support what's going on in Australia in general, so that's a big priority for me. There are a lot of exciting opportunities. I just want to be involved in something that's going to be an enriching experience."

More from Xavier's interview with Bryce if you read more.

  • On playing a villain: "A lot of the roles I've played in Australia have been kind of introspective boy-next-door things, so it was juicy to get to play a villain who's being manipulated in this bloody Macbeth scenario. But it's also kind of intimidating, in a way, to step onto a big set like that for the first time. There was no real frame of reference for me, because most of the films I've been involved with in Australia have been smaller in scale."
  • On what drove him to nail the part: "I mean, being in a film like Eclipse is such a great opportunity - and there's a massive fan base with these Twilight movies that you need to respect. So I don't think I could sleep at night if I didn't give it my best shot."

We had an opportunity to chat with Xavier over the weekend, and we'll be sharing the video later this week, but for now check out what Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner had to say in our exclusive clips from the junket!

Madonna is on the new cover of Interview, which hits newsstands nationwide on May 11. She opened up to the magazine about her work in Africa and even commented on her ex-husband Sean Penn's good deeds in Haiti, while also sharing new details about her upcoming directorial effort W.E. Accompanying her quotes, though, were these racy photos which are actually reminiscent of Jesus Luz's spread in their February issue. It's a great deal more of Madonna than we've seen recently, so tell us what you think of her shoot - love it or leave it?

Kellan Lutz opens up to Interview magazine about starring in Hilary Duff's music video and landing the cover of an Abercrombie & Fitch catalog before hitting it big with Twilight.
