Latest Gossip From Around the World

For the four people who care, Bachelorette Jillian from last season and the guy she picked from among a group of famewhores, Ed, are not going to walk off into the sunset together. They broke up, but unlike the last Bachelor couple they’re not talking smack about each other to the press yet.
Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski, who proposed on The Bachelorette, have called off their engagement, the new issue of Us Weekly reports.
“I love him and I’m really sad, but I have to look out for me,” Harris, 29, tells Us.
Adds Swiderski, 30, “We’re both kind of resetting. Jillian isn’t happy and I’m definitely sad about the whole thing, but we’ve got to work through some things on our own if we decide to move forward.”
Last August, Us exclusively revealed that Swiderski juggled two girlfriends while wooing Harris on the fifth season of the ABC show (and even slept with one after proposing to Harris, but before the finale aired).
“There’s bumps on the road, and we don’t always deal with them properly,” Harris told Us in early June. “Our life is not always perfect.”

It sounds like both of them are taking the high road and speaking in vague terms about their problems without giving details. Good for them and I hope they keep it that way. We don’t need another tearful blaming televised argument to see how a TV courtship went bad. I’m sure that ABC would love it though. The more scandals that come out of the dysfunctional relationships they arrange, the more ratings go up.
The track record for all the Bachelor and Bachelorette shows is now 1/19 with only Trista and Ryan remaining together. There is one other pairing that’s lasted - Jason Mesnick dumped the woman he chose in the final and then married runner up Molly Malaney.
Contestants have a better chance at finding lasting love on The Biggest Loser than The Bachelor or Bachelorette.
For those of you who watched this show, did you expect this couple to last? If Ed was working two women on the side when he was on the show I’m sure it didn’t take him long to cheat again.
Oh, what a hot mess this is turning into! This Jake Pavelka/Vienna Girardi fake romance and breakup seems like a lot of trouble to go through just to prolong your faux celebrity. So, let’s recap: nobody could understand why Bachelor Jake chose Vienna in the first place; both Jake and Vienna became world-class fame whores; some actor dude claimed he made out with Vienna, who told him that the engagement ring she got from Jake was “for the show”; Vienna gets dumped by Jake on the phone and then sells her story of Lies! Fights! Abuse! to Star Magazine. On top of all of that trashy behavior, and these two twits get rewarded with a TV interview conducted by “The Bachelor” host Chris Harrison. As predicted, it was a total trainwreck that ended with Vienna storming off the set in tears and Jake not being able to get a word in edgewise.
Things got very heated between Jake Pavelka and ex-fiancee Vienna Girardi when they reunited for the first time since announcing their split at a two-hour ABC taping Thursday.
The two arrived separately at an undisclosed location to film the segment, set to air during “The Bachelorette” July 5, to discuss their highly publicized split.
Though Internet reports claim Pavelka, 32, raised a fist at Girardi, 24, an insider tells UsMagazine.com: “It did not happen. He was calm and collected.”
At one point, after Girardi kept cutting him off, Pavelka stood up. But the insider says he simply asked, “Will you just let me finish?”
“He couldn’t get a word out — it was very reflective of their relationship,” says the source, who adds that host Chris Harrison often had to tell Girardi, “Vienna, let him talk.”
“Vienna was on the defense,” the source tells Us. “She was trying to play victim.”
She ended up storming off the set in tears.
“Jake has lost all respect for her,” the source tells Us. “She crossed the line when she sold their relationship to Star.”
The blow-up Thursday only reaffirmed that they made the right decision to call it quits, says the insider.
Adds the source, “They couldn’t even have an adult conversation while a mediator was there with them.”
I hope this means we can be done with these two. I’m not sure which one I hate more: the Heidi Montag wanna-be or the commercial pilot-turned method actor. They both seem like shallow, terrible people. And it also really begs the question: Why does “The Bachelor” still air? Year after year they promote one sham relationship after another. Only one couple in 14 seasons has actually made it down the aisle- all the others have crashed and burned.
First there was the inevitable breakup announcement, and then there were the nasy post-breakup statements about accusations of cheating, and withholding sex from the latest loathsome contestants of ABC’s tired dating reality show, “The Bachelor.” As if anyone actually thought Jake Pavelka and his “fiancee” Vienna Girardi were a real item at any time. Now, “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison has somehow convinced these two morons to participate in a post-mortem TV interview about their breakup and why it happened.
Former “Bachelor” Jake Pavelka and his ex-fiancee Vienna Girardi will appear together in a new television interview.
ABC confirms that the former couple will be interviewed by “The Bachelor” host Chris Harrison on the Monday, July 5 episode of ABC’s “The Bachelorette.”
This will mark the first time the pair has been interviewed together since their recent split.
Of course- because after someone cheats on you and you dump them, the first thing you want to do is go on TV with that person and talk about it! I think this proves that this entire relationship was a PR stunt to further their “careers.” Oh, and Jake Pavelka is saying that he had to break up with Vienna over the phone because he was having trouble getting into character for his appearance on the Lifetime show, Drop Dead Diva. Because he’s such a method actor, you know? Marlon Brando, Mickey Rourke, and the guy from the Bachelor.
“The Bachelor’s” Jake Pavelka, says he had no choice but to end things long-distance with fiancée Vienna Girardi. The reason? He was struggling to get into character for his role on Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva,” which he was filming in Atlanta while Vienna remained in Los Angeles.
“One of the keys to acting is you have to get out of your head,” Pavelka, 32, tells PEOPLE. “This [show] didn’t hire me to be Jake, they hired me to play Toby Davlin. I can’t be Jake and sell this character.”
Troubled by what he termed “trust issues” with Vienna, 24, Jake says he broke up with her in a phone call Monday night.
“I’ve been trying to put all that aside so that I can give this character justice,” he says. “It’s been a struggle thinking about my relationship and going in front of the camera and shooting.”
He also acknowledges, “It was a difficult conversation on the phone. But the relationship was headed in that direction.”
So, who’s watching that trainwreck - and who’s watching Jake’s master class in method acting on “Drop Dead Diva?”

We’ve heard plenty of gossip about this year’s Bachelor. Jake Pavelka, now a contestant on Dancing with The Stars, chose controversial contestant Vienna Girardi, who was portrayed as the villain this season. A woman claiming to be Jake’s ex girlfriend later came forward with a story that Jake attempted to rig the show by having her on as a contestant. She also claimed Jake told her loved her - after he proposed to Vienna.
There’s plenty of dirt about Vienna, too, including a story from her ex husband, who claims she cheated on him when he was deployed to Iraq and emptied out his savings account to pay for a boob job. In Touch ran a recent related story that Vienna plans to get a ton of plastic surgery in order to achieve the same level of infamy as Ken Doll post-op Heidi Montag.
The National Enquirer had more about Vienna’s family. In March, they reported that her mom runs a peanut stand out of a trailer on the highway in Geneva, Florida. She lives in another trailer with her husband behind the stand, and “loves to smoke weed and drink Mountain Dew. And her friends are a bunch of men who sit around the peanut stand smoking pot with her.”
Vienna may have met her last boyfriend through her pothead mom. A guy that Vienna dated up until she went on the show was just arrested in what Radar Online calls “in the biggest drug bust in Central Florida’s history.” Chase Alley and his partners were busted in an elaborate sting. The guy was some kind of major marijuana dealer, and faces charges of money laundering, drug trafficking, importing and racketeering.
The 23-year-old, who won the heart of the Bachelor, dated Chase Alley until she left Florida for the Los Angeles taping of The Bachelor. Alley was arrested March 5 in the biggest drug bust in Central Florida’s history.
He was charged on 50 counts of buying, selling and possessing marijuana. He was also charged with money laundering and drug trafficking and importing. And he faces racketeering charges, which means he could be sentenced to 20 years in prison.”
Almost overnight, Vienna went from an accused drug baron to a bible-thumper. As RadarOnline.com first reported last month Jake told an ex-girlfriend: “I believe that God wants me to go on the Bachelor to lead these women into Christianity.”
Chase was allegedly running his drug ring the entire time he dated Vienna, but Chase’s long-time friend Andrew Bachanov told RadarOnline.com exclusively, “he never told his girls about the drugs.”
After Vienna was introduced to Chase on the University of Central Florida campus Andrew said, “she made all the moves on him.
Andrew said things developed quickly between the couple: “She would cook for him. She did all the wifey things for him.”
In fact, after dating Chase for a month she spent her last night in Florida with him and cooked Chicken Marsala for Chase, Andrew and some other friends.
Andrew told RadarOnline.com that Vienna “walked around like a celebrity before becoming one.” She wore Ed Hardy bikinis, sunglasses and caps. “She had an expensive bag she carried her dog around with,” he said.
Everyone knew she was going to be on The Bachelor, and Andrew says Chase dated her “because she was going to be famous.”
But now Chase has achieved his own type of fame, or infamy.
He made headlines when he was one of 41 people arrested in the massive million dollar drug bust and gun raid.

I’m so sure Vienna had “no idea” what her boyfriend was up to and how he made all the money he was undoubtedly flashing around. Maybe she didn’t care and saw him as her ticket to more nips and tucks.

We haven’t heard much lately about Bachelor Jake and his intended bride, Vienna, and that’s a good thing. I’m anticipating that the next we’ll hear of them they’ll have broken up and Jake will be hooking up with some random C-lister while Vienna grants tell-alls to whichever gossip rags will have her. In Touch has a story this week that Vienna plans on capitalizing on her brief glint of fame the Heidi Montag way - by getting even more plastic surgery and hoping her new alien-like features grant her screen time. Vienna has already had a boob job, having cleaned out her ex husband’s savings while he was fighting in Iraq to pay for it. She wants a revision, along with a nose job and lipo, according to sources quoted in In Touch. Vienna is also said to be insecure and is hoping that getting all that work done will keep her in Jake’s good graces. Good luck with that one.
An insider tells In Touch Vienna wants to get plastic surgery to make sure she’s first choice on Jake’s dance card!
Vienna, 23, reportedly underwent a breast augmentation a few years ago, but according to the insider, she’s planning a huge overhaul, which now includes a nose job, another boob job and liposuction. One reason for taking such drastic measures so soon is that when she saw the pictures of herself, “She was secretly horrified,” explains the insider. “She was disappointed in her appearance and that was one of the things that prompted this desire to have surgery.”
Although Vienna’s rep denies the story, the insider adds that Vienna’s so serious about changing her look that she’s already dropping hints that she wants to work with Dr. Frank Ryan, the plastic surgeon who performed 10 extreme surgeries in one day on the Hills star Heidi Montag. “Vienna is hoping to score surgeries for free and, like Heidi, document her transformation in a magazine, the insider explains.
And, like Heidi, the insider notes, Vienna knows that her relationship - and her looks - will keep her in the spotlight. “She wants to be a star and she’s turning to extensive plastic surgery to help transform her into the perfect 10,” explains the insider. “Vienna went on The Bachelor to be a star, and she’s not about to lose the focus of that dream.”
[From In Touch print edition, March 29, 2010]
We all saw how well that worked out for Heidi. She’s a joke and she looks painfully freaky. Still, she got a job on an Adam Sandler movie and there have to be some idiotic women, like Vienna, that see her as an inspiration. It’s a real commentary on society when fools like Vienna, famous for being on a dating show, get a bunch of feature-altering irreversible surgery at a young age in a desperate bid for a week’s worth of tabloid supermarket coverage. She’ll have to live with that face for the rest of her life. Maybe she won’t go as far as Heidi did, but with that same surgeon it’s a definite concern.
