Madonna’s 11 year old daughter Lourdes hit up a Beverly Hills nail salon on Monday for a mani-pedi with her friends. The considerate kiddo even sprang for a pedicure for her bodyguard who tagged along.

Madonna and Her Cozy Little Man Hit LA

Feb 18, 2008 Author: Molly | Filed under: Uncategorized

Madonna arrived at LAX yesterday afternoon with her adorable David (and his Uggs!) in her arms. After her directorial debut premiered to less-than-stellar reviews, at least she's still got her little ones to put a smile on her face. While her movie career has been spotted with hits and misses, it's no secret that the world is a whole lot more excited for her upcoming album release — especially the first video and track featuring Timberlake and Timbaland. Methinks a Summer anthem may be in order. Spencer Pratt may talk a big game about Heidi's album, but I'm still thinking that Madonna won't have to "eat her heart out" just yet. No one compares to Madonna.

Madonna is Very Old, Makes Shitty Movies

During a press conference at the Berlin Film Festival, Madonna said turning 50 this summer isn’t going to slow her down. With her first directorial effort in the can (”Filth and Wisdom”), Madge claimed she’s ready to do more films and make more music.

“I will be making more music and films,” she declared.

Then, when one journalist said the fresh-faced Madonna could pass for 21, she jokingly shot back, “That’s because you’re standing far away.”

As she prepared to helm the project, the story of a Ukrainian immigrant musician and his two female roommates, the pop star didn’t have to look far for professional advice.

The singer (who also co-wrote the movie) admitted to Germany’s Spiegel TV that she asked Guy Ritchie, her director-husband of the past seven years, for “one sentence of advice before I walk into this.”

His answer? “‘Confidence.’ That’s the most important thing you need to exude on the set. No matter what you feel, exude confidence,” she recounted. “And that was good advice.”

Not everyone is thrilled to hear Madge has more movies in the works: The Guardian described “Filth and Wisdom” as “so incredibly bad that Berlin festivalgoers were staggering around yesterday in a state of clinical shock, deathly pale and mewing like maltreated kittens.”

Awww, maltreated kittens are sad.

Madonna And Child

Here's Madonna with her adorable adopted son David Banda arriving in Los Angeles. Getting her face stretched and pulled has worked wonders. David's probably wondering why his mom is an albino with a visage like something out of Madame Tussaud's. But he'll cope. It's either scary pale mom or back to the orphanage! Madge doesn't play.

Madonna’s Light on the Filth, Heavy on the Wisdom

Feb 14, 2008 Author: Molly | Filed under: Uncategorized

In her second black dress of the day, Madonna and the stars of her directorial debut Filth and Wisdom attended their premiere last night in Berlin along with festival staple Diane Kruger. The movie focuses on three characters striving for stardom, which apparently hit close to home for Madonna. She said, "If I look back to the beginning of my career, I can recall those moments of struggle like it was yesterday." We all know Madonna's not struggling for success anymore (uh, to put it lightly). The movie's reviews, however, are a different story.
